FST has brought together a talented cast from across Alaska and the lower '48 to stage one of Shakespeare’s most popular comedies.

This summer Much Ado About Nothing will transport you to a 19th century plantation following the War of 1812.  Amidst the opulence of the Southern aristocracy, the earnest young lovers, Hero and Claudio, are entangled in a web of deceit weaved by the scheming Don John.  Meanwhile, the love-disdaining Beatrice and Benedick will captivate you with “a skirmish of wits” as they fall prey to some mischievous matchmaking.  Will the hilarious fumbling antics of Dogberry and the watch foil the trap and love conquer all?

Director Graham Watts returns from England for a fourth season with FST and has assembled a stellar cast, including b. d. rogers as the patriarch Leonato and Jake Waid as Benedick, the verbal sparring partner, to New York actress Hana Lass’ Beatrice.  Shawn Law joins the cast from Seattle to play the princely Don Pedro with locals Scott Jackson as Don John, Andrew Cassell as Borachio, Christy Burgess as Hero, Shannon Luster as Dogberry, and Bill Fuller as Verges.  In addition to a talented cast and crew, the show boasts an original score written by London-based composer Sarah Llewelyn.
